concert poster
advertising the short-lived British rock group
Rough Diamond
at the Circus Krone in Munich [Germany] on Monday, 25th April, 1977, presented by Lippmann+Rau in cooperation with Stimmen der Welt.
Formed by singer David Byron, after leaving Uriah Heep, along with former Colosseum and Humble Pie guitarist Clem Clempson and ex-Wings drummer Geoff Britton, Rough Diamond recorded one self-titled album for Island Records, released in March 1977. Peaking at a modest #103 on the
Billboard
200, the album sold poorly and Byron left to pursue a solo career. He was replaced by Gary Bell, changing their name to Champion, and recording an album for Epic Records the following year before disbanding.
The poster measures 59.9 x 83.7 cm (approx. 23.6" by 33" inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, coated paper stock. Very light creasing to the bottom left side of the poster, else in near excellent unfolded condition, ready to frame.
