Product Description
This vintage stamp case has a superb design that would make it a fine addition to any collection! The case is made of sterling silver and features a patterned design on the front, and a smooth, polished finish on the back. Yellow and rose gold stripes accent the front of the case and are set on either side of a raised fraternal emblem. The emblem is finished with white, blue and red enamel ; but, does show some slight wear. The back of the case is engraved with the monogram LDJ in side of a diamond shaped border. While the case opens and closes securely and tightly, there is a slight gap between the front and back sides of the case when it is closed shut. The inside of the case has a smooth, polished finish and both sides are fitted with a curved bar to hold stamps or a photograph. One of the bars is not fully attached to the case but is still in working order. When we acquired this fine piece, a vintage photograph portraying a woman and a child was held inside. The photograph is included with this special piece. There is some light surface scratching on the inside of the case. The back of the case is marked Sterling and 14k Gold for it's purity composition.
This case weighs 17.7 grams. The piece measures 2 3/32" (53.4mm) long when closed and is 1 1/8" (28.8mm) wide.
We guarantee this piece to be sterling silver and 14k gold as stamped. It has not been cleaned in order to maintain it's original vintage integrity. Please check out the enlarged pictures.
